How to exponentially grow your church membership...
"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"
Colossians 1:27
As Christians, why should we allow our homes to fall apart because our priorities have been mixed up? Why should another family be more important than your own? Why should another man's wife be of more concern than your own? Why should another woman's husband be more important than your own? Why should your children suffer neglect while you adamantly display affection and care to others far and near? Isn't your family worth saving too? Guard your priorities.
Why Guard Your Priorities?
I have watched men and women sacrifice their families to the devil in the name of God's work when their priorities are messed up. Vice proudly breaks down the protective door to the family unit inviting infidelity, substance abuse, pre-marital relations, mental health challenges (feelings of poor self-worth), homosexuality, unhealthy social fraternities/ sororities, divorce, and atheism. The door, once opened, is difficult to shut because the gates of hell unleash every arsenal to prevent it from being shut. Satan and his angels laugh triumphantly because he knows your work is weakened in the eyes of the onlookers. Prioritize differently.
How to exponentially Grow Your Church Membership...
Take a page from God's commendation to Abraham: "For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him." Genesis 18:19. What did God promise as a result of this priority? "... and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him". Genesis 18:18
God's word didn't fail in Abe's time, and it will not fail today... our Father keeps His promises. This is how to exponentially grow your church membership.
Put your family first. If done correctly, God is never demoted from His rightful place in the hearts of your family members. They begin to experience God's love more fully because they start to see Christ in you and me. When this strong foundation is built, your family will confidently support your service to the larger mission field.
"Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God:
I speak this to your shame." 1 Corinthians 15:34 KJV
Prayer: Our Father, you have been so good to us. Abundant grace is given to help us prioritize differently for the salvation of our family. May we not waste it. You rightly said that we need to wake up and realize our mistakes so that you may save us. Please take away our "shame". Help our family members who want to know you better despite our blind perspective. Teach us how to love our families with self-sacrificial love, agape love. In Jesus name, amen.
