March was a Marathon! I felt like I was going, going, going, going like an energizer bunny, but without the battery. Pella Tutoring, School tutoring, Meetings and Programs, Chapel preps and Test preps, family duties, church events, and demands here, there... everywhere! Do you ever feel like me? Stop, take a moment, and be grateful!

Sometimes it is difficult, but cultivating gratitude in an ungrateful world is necessary to reduce, reverse, and eliminate chronic anxiety, doubt, depression, and fear. . May I share a testimony with you? Today, April 1st, I took off from my work to fulfill a Godly mission. A part of Narda Pella's mission is to support other small businesses, ministries, and missions in their effort to collaborate with larger entities in building up strong, healthy communities. I have been working all year and it was time to give back to the community without being paid.

I had spent about $300 of God's money to buy quality products and organic produce for a Nutrition station at the Clayton County Library's "Spring into Wellness Health Fair" in Riverdale, GA. I slated to speak to people about foods that fight specific diseases while running a green and fruit smoothie bar. I was also offering "drive-by consultations" to help those who suffered from ailments that were off my planned "script". I was tired but I was excited as I began to leave Costco's parking lot. I am about to do God's work, "Yeah!"

"Sma-crack!" I ran right into another vehicle driving past as I was pulling out! A big truck was blocking both our views! I groaned loudly in frustration. The impact sounded terrible as metal hit metal? I knew the other person wasn't injured... therefore my first thought was that I would be unable to fulfill my missionary duty because of this unexpected accident. I got out of my car, looked at the front of my vehicle, and saw a lot of black marks, but no dents. I sighed because I must have also damaged the person's paint job. Bummer! I went to check on the person and to start the grinding process... police report, and more...

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,

and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

  Prayer:

Lord, Thank you! We are so prone to anxiety, fear, and discouragement, but your promises are always bigger than our problems.  May your Holy Spirit help us to stop, take a moment, and be grateful! Give us the will and the power to continue cultivating gratitude in a chaotic world. May we KNOW, in unpleasant and pleasant surprises, that You are extremely good, and still in control...

In Jesus' name, amen!
