A season to allow God to turn seeming misfortunes into small miracles...
"Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose
God is the LORD." Psalms 144:15 KJV
"Happy, Happy, Happy!" Pitter, pitter, patter, pat! "Happy, Happy, Happy!" Pitter, pitter, patter, pat! Little feet ran around in circles, and a cute little voice sang at the top of its lungs: "Happy, Happy, Happy!" My 23-month-old granddaughter Ivy ran incessantly in circles at the top of the stairs. Her small fists alternatively punctuated the air as her tiny feet completed their dance. The finale? Sometimes she would come to the edge of the landing and throw herself into my arms. What a joyous greeting after a long day of ministry... a long day of work!
Imagine the millions of ways that God brings a flood of joy to your soul. Nothing beats this magnificent welcome that I receive when I return from work. No matter how exhausted or sad I may be about some life event, I always become instantly forgetful of everything pensive or overwhelming and bask in this giant display of love and affection. My heart bursts with love and my smile widens delightfully as I allow this little "Miracle" to jump into my arms and wrap those arms around my neck. Isn't God good? Yes, He is!
"Happy, Happy, Happy!" What am I thankful for? I am thankful for my small, imperfect family. Despite our challenges, our home is filled with peace, hope, love, and warmth. I am privileged to work in a field that brings immense joy in ministry. I am grateful for another pause "to rise and shine and give God, the glory" He deserves. Sometimes the things, or people that create the most ripples in your home or life... bring you the most unexpected joys. Did God allow some unforeseen challenge in your life? Lean not to your own understanding. God uses our seeming misfortunes as stepping stones to small miracles.
Prayer:Â Â Our Father, you have been so good to us. Abundant grace is given to help us "commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and He shall bring it to pass." Psalms 37:5
As you cook that Thanksgiving meal, and you are "Happy, Happy, Happy!" Â What are you thankful for?... Â Happy Thanksgiving... every day!
Prayer: Lord, thank you for YOU. You are still my amazing anchor in this world of uncertainties. Halleluia and Amen!
