The New Christmas

"These are the things that ye shall do; Speak ye every man the truth to his neighbour; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates:"

Zechariah 8:16 KJV

The festival that is becoming more popular, maybe even more popular than Christmas

Many years ago, millions of people worldwide waited eagerly for the most anticipated holiday of the year, Christmas. Sleigh bells ringing, reindeer running and children frolicking

in fresh white snow or man-made crystals. Joy and love permeated the air everywhere. Tall trees were decked in light and small willow trees and pines waved hello in the wind of winter wonderland. Laughter rang out everywhere and the reason for the season was truly Jesus, not the commercial crusades and fiascos sweeping the landscapes of modern homes.

Though Santa is not true and Jesus was not born in December, there was still something special about Christmas time. People looked forward to sacred family time and thanksgiving. Joy filled the world and joy-filled hearts. But perhaps the lies that have made Christmas popular, have also made it lukewarm in the minds of young and old. Maybe the amalgamation of Sinterklass and Santa Claus has many scratching their heads, asking, " Then what is real, true?"

Christmas has roots in paganism... History and the Bible record portraits of its profile. In Jeremiah 10, the resemblance is uncanny. Even during ancient times, people were worshipping Satan in groves, and the tradition of cutting down, decorating, and fastening a tree in a central location was one way of demonstrating this allegiance. Today because of cultural immersion, diversity, and tolerance many Christians worship at the feet of Satan. However, my focus is on The New Christmas. What do you think it is?

Today we have a continuous season of holidays from October to January; Halloween to New Year. Yet there is one holiday that is gaining popularity at alarming speed. Halloween. Halloween has been steadily gaining Christian recruits steadily worldwide. It was voted the second most interesting holiday, but I will vote it as number one since Diwali, Dia De Los Muertos (Mexico's Day of the Dead), and Samhain share the same secret. What do they all have in common? The celebration of Death/ paganism. What do Christians have to do with the celebration of death? Some may say it is innocent fun, but how can any Christian parent justify starting their child(ren) on the road to paganism/ unbelief? Why sacrifice your child to Molech or Chimosh?

"And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name." "And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:" Leviticus 20: 3, 4 KJV

How do you knowingly or ignorantly introduce myths/ paganism to your children?

I challenge you to be a responsible parent, and research before you introduce anything to your children. It may be the difference between saving their souls. habits formed are harder to break. Hearts broken are difficult to mend. Being a parent means not being afraid to upset or deny them the things that lead them to love the world. It is time to stop pleasing our children, and ourselves. Please God.

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

John 8:32 KJV

Prayer:  Lord help me to know the truth; love the truth; and live the truth! Strengthen my resolve to love you more than this world, in Jesus name, amen.
